Reporting to the Associate Company Manager on tour and working under the functional supervision of the IT Manager for Tour Shows and Productions in Montreal, the IT Technician is required to travel full-time with the tour (barring vacation time and tour breaks).
 
Your responsibilities will entail:
 
· Support touring show for all incidents, requests and IT requirements;
· Ensure proper functionality and availability of the server environment;
· Implement and support the local network and Internet connections;
· Install and support the workstations and printers;
· Maintain the tour’s IT equipment inventory;
· Manage the tours corporate cell phones and cell phone contracts;
· Help diagnose and troubleshoot software issues;
· Coordinate and order telecom circuits for different cities and countries;
· Place orders (via promoters or venue contacts) for the installation and cancellation of services;
· Ensure that corporate policies regarding information technologies and security are applied;
· Participate in setup, tear down and city transfer operations;
· Act as liaison between International Headquarters, the Touring Shows Division and the tour;
· Create and maintain documentation for city reports and solutions provided.
· Participate in global on-call support rotation for major incidents;
 
We would like to meet you if you have:
 
· College-level diploma in IT or a related field;
· Three years’ relevant experience, preferably in a touring environment;
· Must be able to travel without exceptions or limitations;
· Marked interest in customer service, with “show must go on mentality”;
· This position is not limited to working in front of a computer, the applicant must be physically capable of completing setups and tear downs in various weather conditions, including moving road cases and preparing equipment for shipping;
· Flexibility and patience with clients, tolerance for high stress situations and good team spirit; natural aptitude to being the “go to guy/girl in a team”.
· Absolute proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, Skype & Teams;
· Hardware support experience (Servers, laptops, printers and peripherals)
· Hands on experience making and running network cabling (copper and fiber)
· Knowledge of Microsoft server environments, and components (AD, OU’s, SCCM…)
· Knowledge of Meraki and Cisco firewalls, routers, switches and access points (Network administration, VLAN and port modification, SSID, DHCP, TCP/IP….)
· Practical knowledge in machine virtualization;
· Service Now ticketing system familiarity;
· Knowledge of cellular phone plans and basic cellular support;
· Mac IOS experience is an asset;
· POS experience is an asset;
· Box Office systems experience is an asset;
· Fluency in English, spoken and written, essential; fluency in French an asset;
· Solid communication skills;
· Ability to quickly adapt to unexpected situations, variable schedules and tight deadlines;
· European citizenship or work permit is an asset;
